Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

In December, I wrote a piece about people's declining ability to process information, to distinguish fact from opinion, etc, and how this might soften us up to become overly-dependent on AI. You could read it, but this guy just summarised it in two tweets!

In the new year, one empowering piece of storytelling advice I would offer is, don't rely solely on a single corporate entity or institutional structure to shape your storytelling career, as it's unlikely to happen.

Happy to have added my name to this list, I do hope it breaks through. Reading the list of signatures is also a nice reminder of the many amazing people making ambitious audio these days. This community needs Short Cuts more than ever.
We were in bits when we saw this open letter on Friday, put together by a group of audio-makers.

It’s Sunday morning as we write this and it already has well over 800 signatures. 😭 docs.google.com/document/d/1...

A recommendation: Pause your election analysis interview podcast (or am I projecting 🤔) and submerge your attention in this new series from @danielgalarcon.bsky.social and Katie Mingle. Compelling protagonist, high stakes tension, strong archival, beautiful writing. A++ storytelling 🙌
The Good Whale
This is the story of a wildly ambitious science experiment to return Keiko to the ocean — while the world watched. A new limited podcast series from Serial Productions and the New York Times.
