👂 that politicians think swift bricks would UP 🏡 prices so swifts aren’t worth saving. If you don’t want to be the 1st nation to let swifts become ☠️, email both steve.reed.mp@parliament.uk & james.cleverly.mp@parliament.uk to SAVE OUR SWIFTS. put it in the subject line 🙏

Bumblebees are already overlooked in planning law. The #PlanningandInfrastructureBill could destroy even more of their habitats, with no duty to replace them.

Great news for beavers! 🦫

We are delighted to have received the first-ever licence for a wild beaver release in England.

We've introduced beavers at three places in our care through licensed, enclosed releases and have seen the amazing benefits these incredible animals provide.

I was struck this morning by the sense of dire urgency expressed by Dame Glenys Stacey, Chair of the @OfficeforEP, on the need to quickly ramp up efforts to get on track to meet legally binding Nature goals. Time is running out, & so is Nature.

What an interesting & inspiring time I had yesterday at Spains Hall in Essex, where farmer Archie is building a new farming business with Nature recovery at its very core. This includes three sets of Beaver wetlands, where wildlife is coming back while reducing flood risk in the downstream village.
