There's nothing wrong with flying your flag as an act of patriotism. But the people doing this on poles they don't own (and which are not flagpoles), aren't patriotic, they're nationalistic. They're not celebrating their country, they're advertising their hate of others.

There's nothing wrong with flying your flag as an act of patriotism. But the people doing this on poles they don't own (and which are not flagpoles), aren't patriotic, they're nationalistic. They're not celebrating their country, they're advertising their hate of others.

The Washington shooting is a tragedy. The over 55,000 killed so far in Gaza is a greater one. Murder is not acceptable, but neither is the ongoing genocide. It is not antisemitic to criticize the actions of the Israeli government. This must stop. All of it. To desire otherwise is bloodlust.
