I just watched the Netflix documentary on Grenfell. I taught in a school near it and I live in the same borough.
It was a rare glimpse of how the establishment saw us, the working people of this country. Unimportant scroungers who don’t matter. An eyesore to be covered up as cheaply as possible.

I was explaining to my Ukrainian colleague the phrase ‘There’s no such thing as a free lunch’. She told me the equivalent in Ukrainian is ‘The only free cheese is in the mousetrap’ - which is so much better

Politics can be complex, but every so often it’s pretty easy to tell which side of history you’re on. For example, if you require the police to arrest elderly ladies for peacefully protesting against genocide, that’ll probably be the wrong side.
