Neither your health nor the quality of your healthcare should depend on what your job is willing to provide, what your insurance will cover, or how much you can afford to pay.

Until we can have a single payer universal system, we have to do something about health insurance.

Health insurance companies should NOT be for-profit entities.

Health insurance companies should be non-profits.

Food banks were not created to support on-going food needs. There are often limitations to how much and how often ppl can receive food. If you truly care about people going without food, advocate for policies and programs, like the food stamps program, that help people supplement their income.

Funny how people will get upset when they think someone is “abusing the system” but won't think twice about corporations doing the same.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of enjoying a #Costco hot dog & noticed something was off. The size of the bun did not match the length of the hot dog. I'm hoping this discrepancy is temporary & was just an issue w/the bun order. If not, I consider this bun-to-dog discrepancy a #recession #indicator.

Well, my week is off to a great start! 😮‍💨 Working on a systematic review for my general exam. I never would have expected to see Reagan or Bush express empathy for undocumented families. If this is real, seeing how far right the republican party has shifted made me unbelievably sad... www.c-span.org/clip/public-...

Important 🧵: Stanford political scientist uses data to show DOGE is attacking “liberal” agencies, not focusing on waste & inefficiency: “The hardest hit agencies are those that regulate industry, protect public health, and expand access to education.”
The DOGE firings have nothing to do with “efficiency” or “cutting waste.” They’re a direct push to weaken federal agencies perceived as liberal. This was evident from the start, and now the data confirms it: targeted agencies overwhelmingly those seen as more left-leaning. 🧵⬇️

Govt wastes $$$ by not fully investing in the most effective strategies (e.g., housing vouchers or raising the min. wage to address family homelessness). But, I am not surprised that fraud & abuse is "relatively nonexistent". I am surprised he believed Elon wanted transparency. tinyurl.com/2tbwhzyb

Something needs to be clarified: BOYCOTTS DO NOT HAVE END DATES.

The boycott against Target is working because it does not have an end date, these large corporations can take a 6 day hit.

There must be a demand and a consequence.

We cannot not allow people to co-opt terms.
