This is unequivocally a smoking gun. It is absolutely his signature. This was 2003– he was a private citizen, no one was out to slander him for political reasons, and, dispelling the dumbest excuse/conspiracy theory, of course an autopen was not used.

#Mets fans— what was the moment you first coveted Juan Soto? Where you said “I want this guy to be a Met one day”? Mine was 8/10/2019, when he hit a monstrous homer off Seth Lugo to give the Nats the lead, a half inning before Guillorme’s 1st career HR put the Mets in front for good
