My version of Agent 8-- a purple-eyed feminine Octoling with the "pony" hairstyle (and, currently, purple ink)-- standing in Inkopolis Square's Ammo Knights, holding a Custom Hydra Splatling. She is wearing the Special Forces Beret, the Brown FA-11 Bomber jacket, and a pair of Punk Cherries. You can see her balance is currently 5,918 G, and the few weapon options that are visible are greyed-out, because she cannot afford them.

an edited screenshot of the nintendo switch online app's splatnet 2 service. (the big red bar at the top of splatnet 2 has been removed.) it's on the "my stats" page, showing "agent 4 stats." the regular agent 4 art-- a feminine inkling with the "haircut" hairstyle, dressed in the hero headphones, hero hoodie and hero snowboots-- has been edited slightly. i gave him darker skin, eyemask lashes, a slit through his right (from the viewer's perspective) eyebrow, and homophobia in his eyes. his left eye (again, from the viewer's perspective) is purple, and his right is orange. the stats displayed underneath her say "1,000% fresh!" & "stages clear: 1,000%." below that is a pink button that reads "view best times." below THAT is text that says "view by weapon," and shows each hero weapon with a star in the top right corner, signifying that octo canyon has been 100% cleared with that weapon. they're split into two rows; in order, from left to right, is the hero shot, hero roller, hero charger, hero dualies and the hero brella. the second row has the hero splatling, hero blaster, hero slosher and the herobrush. you can also see my phone's stats at the top. i have two out of four bars of service, but a full wi-fi connection; the time is 1:32pm, and my battery is at 19%.

pricedown when i released pricedown on april 17th, 2000, i had no idea the journey this font would take. it all started as my modern interpretation of pinto flare, a display typeface from the early 1970s. i was aiming for that boxy, retro de- sign that captured the essence of "the price is right" logotype. little did i know, pricedown would become associated with something entirely different-- the grand theft auto video game series. it's funny because it wasn't even the first time this typeface was used in a game. back in the 1980s, it appeared in a wrestling game on the nes. now, here's where it gets interesting. when rockstar games used pricedown for grand theft auto, i was actually working for them--but in a different branch! i was an art director at rockstar to- ronto, while the main office in new york handled the graphic design. they used my free version of the font, not realizing i was an employee. talk about a small world, right? i had my own history with the gta series, working on grand theft auto london and testing grand theft auto 2. but i never worked on the game that made pricedown famous. looking back, i'm amazed at how popular pricedown has become. but i'll be honest--i don't really feel like it's truly mine. it's essentially a copy of the font from "the price is right". there's not much of my own personality in it. oh, and the name? it's a mashup of "price is right" and "showcase showdown". grand theft auto III title font in white with thick black outline
