When audiences decided the opinion of a critic they read regularly was not as valuable as the thumbs up and thumbs down of 150 random critics, many of whom were only published on their own personal websites. The volume of opinions dwarfed educated ones. That was the first big crack.
What do you think the first death knell of the modern media landscape was? When we started conflating art with content or when we stopped being able to tell the difference between audience and community?

When I told my boss I didn't have a way in to work today, I told him I was not happy getting screwed out of making my money and when I'm not happy people go missing. He got a big laugh out of that. I'm a walking super villain origin story.

One of the many downsides of having to share one car to get to and from work. When one person gets screwed at their job and has to work late, it screws the other person out of getting to their job to make their money. Not happy.

Had quite the laugh this afternoon. Apparently I'm a literal zombie. Leechy tells me that when he went to the hair salon this morning for a haircut, his usual stylist sympathetically told him she was so sorry to hear about (my) death. He was totally confused.

I work with a lot of idiots. One would think that hearing the boss say he had to fire 3 people last week for breaking certain simple rules would deter others from breaking those same rules, but no of course not.
I mean I hate the job too but I really need the money. Why risk getting sacked?

She's absolutely right. As a producer with several films in development with female directors, I can say it is an absolute uphill battle to get execs to fund their projects. Great scripts are sitting on shelves while a generation of our most talented women sit idle.

I don't get how people don't realize that a technology that replaces junior and entry level positions in a field destroys that field.

There's no skipping steps. You have to be a junior before you can be a senior, and if you don't have senior people, you don't have a field.
Remember, kids: A real big goal of "AI" is to entirely sever capital from labor, and no, there will be no universal basic income, you can all just starve and die, thanks

AI is already taking jobs away from entry-level workers
Software and customer service are most at risk right now and could be the canary in the coal mine.

If you see one movie this weekend (and haven't seen it yet) consider BLACK PHONE 2. If you're game for two movies this weekend (or have seen BP2) DEFINITELY check out my buddy Chris Stuckmann's film, SHELBY OAKS. Scary as hell and fucking rips. Made Jess jump out of her seat (which she doesn't do).

OMG just saw someone repost somebody's video claiming that if you watch horror films, real demons actually come out of the screen so people should not ever watch them. The person reposting apparently believes this, and she is a full grown woman.

Poor girl, she used to be the smarter sister.

Hey guys, if you’re not too busy this weekend, maybe it might be a good time to go see a movie. Just a thought. I heard there is something good playing.
