What other basic safety infrastructure do we leave up to a vote of regular residents?
I attended the Univ Blvd Corridor Plan hearing last night and gave testimony. Here are my thoughts as we approach Rosh Hashanah and the Days of Awe:

Not to get theological on main but MoCo politics have really pushed me to embrace the core jewish value of "welcoming the stranger" over the more popular jewish value of "tikkun olam" (repairing the world)
Montgomery County calls itself progressive but in practice it is a deeply conservative place that cannot abide conflict or discomfort. I grew up here, I love it, and it continues to let me down montgomeryperspective.com/2025/01/10/m...
