A beautiful walk Saturday morning for Purple Stride 💜! First time the Wood lab did it and we did great! 🥳 It is always a powerful and inspiring event! ✨ It never fails to motivate me to do better and work harder for the survivors and their families! 💪🏽 Next year we will do it bigger and better!

Please follow my list of Indigenous scientists! I accidentally deleted my first starter park -- but recreated it with even more names. Who else needs to be added?

Got the amazing privilege to see a talk from Dr. Francis Collins! A truly inspiring talk about the ups and downs of science and academia but ultimately you got to work hard to get what you want! Glad I came early because the auditorium was PACKED!!!

🟣 November is Pancreas Cancer Awareness Month 🟣

Jay fell a little bit in love with every one of his MSKCC nurses over 8+ years. Other staff too! Every single one was cheerfully generous, knowledgable, & committed to exceptional care. Many seemed to be cancer survivors themselves. #PancreaticCancer

Women are under-represented at senior levels in #academia globally, & across all #science 🧪 disciplines, as shown by these "scissor-shaped curves" ✂️

So how can we ever achieve #gender #equality?

We discuss various strategies in this #Cell Commentary
