I love knitting, books, movies, trashy TV, and Lego (honestly, though, I love most things). In my spare time I librarian.
Does anyone know what these creatures are? Spotted them poking their heads out of the ice in a Massachusetts pond. The largest had heads the size of a ping pong ball. They look like tadpoles but seem so big? They were also hanging out in a mass of dozens in a nearby sunny hole #fish #tadpole #frog

OK- here we go. Sorry for the delay, I was not prepared for the exertion required in the thrill-a-minute adventure that is… CACAO FERMENTATION.

Yes, this will actually take 5 days. After that two days of drying. I’m not making this up. Nothing happens. Really. You’ll see.

Anyway, off we go!

I watched both Godzilla movies this weekend (Godzilla x Kong and Minus One). GxK was fairly fun but didn’t grab me whereas Godzilla Minus One was amazing—there were multiple points where Ryunosuke Kamiki’s acting brought me to ugly tears.

Saw The Fall Guy yesterday and loved it. It was cheesy, joyful, and sweet. Plus chock full of kick ass stunts that were a delight to watch. Pretty much a perfect summer movie. Stay for the credits to watch the real stunt peeps in action.

Eclipse started early. Sun went away entirely a few hours ago and still hasn’t come back. Starting to worry.

Is there anything cozier to do on a rainy day off than to be all bundled up on the couch, drinking tea, knitting, and watching Shetland?

I can’t believe I’ve lived 39 bra-wearing years without realizing I’ve been wearing bras all wrong! You can find a comfy underwire that provides all day support. You just have to be properly fitted by someone who knows what they’re doing.

Life advice: under no circumstances should you ever use one of those magnifying/high-beam light mirrors in a hotel bathroom. Uh-uh, no way. No good comes of seeing yourself that way. 🤣

For Halloween my super talented daughter painted these Russian nesting dolls (matryoshkas) on butternut squash. I love how they get incrementally more ghoulish. #monstryoshkas
