So I never got to the point of publicly releasing my tools and little prototypes, so I have no real idea what my prevented avenue is to do so.
Let alone which ones dodge controversy in the last year.

What site do you share your software on?
Itch? Gumroad? Etsy? KoFi?
Pay what you want is preferred.

It’s not so hard, you can do it.

Pixel artists don't get enough credit for designing proper UI elements with legible fonts and proper chunkiness..

This is your reminder to Call your reps and tell them to Vote now to Bad Internet Bills and While your at it tell them to Abolish ICE and Prosecute The Trump Administration at every level
If you cant post about content deemed """harmful""", if platforms cant risk hosting anything but the absolute safest content possible, then counter narratives cant spread

Call your reps. Oppose KOSA/SCREEN Act and more, demand section 230 be protected

The monster taming tournament is about to start! Taron is impressed seeing Milette again after one year. And the Trasasaur aren't very useful at all, aren't they?

Congratulations on the 8K, and thanks for organizing a share!

Here's some 3D and 2D pieces of mine from the past year. My professional work is mostly in indie gaming, but I do all kinds of art, and love seeing what the wider creative community are making.

Drop some pieces below, and don't forget to share your portfolio website and contact info!

I understand its a running gag at this point, but who the hell does the audio balancing for Netflix?
I have to turn volume up to '11' on my TV when the cast of Stranger Things is talking, but down to '4' for the action scenes.

And a show like that mixes the two every 5 scenes..

Your daily reminder that generative "A.i." in the arts is for losers.

It's fixed!
I was implementing image arrays and in one spot I was editing on the correct image layer, while on the other I was editing the original image the layer was referring to.

Naturally this causes a mismatch.

Learned something new again!

Welp. I just changed the way my userInputTexture is handled, always showing a base texture below it.
But now my 3D painting tool has completely broken, OR the subviewport has decided it's not worth the hassle to refresh until I use the 2D area to paint.

Good times for soloDev!

With “Wikimedia Enterprise”, AI companies have to use (and pay for) dedicated APIs to scrape data, which helps to limit the strain on Wikimedia servers. (See eg arstechnica.com/information-...) This is a good thing for Wikimedia and for its readers.
AI bots strain Wikimedia as bandwidth surges 50%
Automated AI bots seeking training data threaten Wikipedia project stability, foundation says.

Molly White explains it well, this is doesn’t give the AI companies anything they didn’t already have for free, but it *does* mean that they have restrictions on how they can collect and use that data.

News sites want to spin it as Wikipedia embracing AI, but it’s not
Sure. AI companies have ALWAYS been training their models on Wikipedia content, which under the free and open access model is available to anyone — including AI companies. Agreements like these require AI companies to limit and offset the strain they place on Wikimedia infrastructure.

I'm not fully set up for streaming yet, but I'd use this.

In the span of weeks, I've gone from someone who has never used Godot, to struggling to "get" Godot, to really liking Godot, to having taught aspiring gamedevs the basics of Godot, to strongly believing Godot's workflow & structure might be the best approach to developing games for many purposes.

For the people who are familiar with animations in Godot:
When I play my animation, the mesh deforms and everything works fine, but this box outline for the MeshInstance3D stays the same?
I`m trying a few different methods to pose this character while still being able to raycast/draw on it..
