![Mid-1950s Ford F-750 "BIG JOB" done up in Plum-Krazy-Purple, with pink flames on the sides & abundant orange lights/reflectors out at the county fair a few years ago; taken on Kodak Portra800 with [according to my files] the ca. 1958 Yashica-C twin-lens-reflex-120-film-camera [but I think I might be wrong on that; these lens flares look more like uncoated glass to me--so that would've been the ca. 1934 Rolleiflex "Old Standard" with the uncoated Zeiss Tessar 3.8]; developing & scanning by me. After my [now-late] Grandma's stroke, Mom bought her a bed with heating & massage functions. First time it ran The Program, Grandma said "you bought me a DIRTY bed." Insisted that part stay unplugged--where she could SEE it was unplugged--the rest of her life. Grandma missed out...

Ted Koppel (who was on-campus for a Friday evening lecture, & then stayed-over for Saturday's Michigan State game) nearly hit my siblings & me while swiftly parking his golf cart just before Concert on the Steps, 2000-ish[?] Does it still count as minor if the celeb posed for a photo afterward?

Back in June, when Dad had a 3-week-stint in hospital out-of-town (& Mom stayed with him), I went thru some of the boxes at their new house & did some light re-arranging...setting-out some of Dad's books in the living room. It was then I re-connected with this gem from my childhood #ThingThursday

The title of the work has "HORROR MOVIES" in yellow bubble letters; overlaid against Tom Chantrell's striking greenish-cast-images of a few of filmdom's most famous creepy characters, such as; Lon Chaney, Sr. as the Phantom; Peter Cushing as Dr. Frankenstein; both Béla Lugosi and Christopher Lee as Count Dracula (interestingly, Chantrell has added red blood dripping from the corner of each vampire's mouth); and a giant head of Frankenstein's monster (looking more like Glenn Strange or Lon Chaney, Jr. in the Jack Pierce makeup than Karloff).
