I am 100% in favour of assisted dying, but 100% is well short of ‘dogmatically’, and the bill that’s about to go in front of parliament isn’t the one. My position on the issue, like so many people’s, has been influenced by personal experience, but in a slightly different way from a lot of voices.

Jeremy Clarkson has done an awful lot for farmers’ causes in general. Him as de facto figurehead for this particular movement, given his previous comments about buying a farm to avoid inheritance tax, is a terrible idea. He’s a very funny writer. He’s a bit of a bellend. All these things are true.

One way in which this place is VERY different from ‘old Twitter’ is the photos. Every post has a photo. The modern brain simply cannot comprehend a social network that is entirely text based.

The funny thing about having builders in is that Christmas music is happening at me WAY earlier than it normally would. I'd lost #Whamageddon three times by November 15th.
