One good thing every day

Day 108: seeing this short story published today.
It doesn’t matter to me that nobody gave my original post any love. I’m reposting it anyway!

For Tony

40th Anniversary of Young Sherlock Holmes?! I mean, I know I’m getting older… but I did not require that explicit of a measurement today.

Why do so many men think, “She made my wiener twitch! I must let her know that! I bet she’ll be so proud!”

We don’t want to know that from complete strangers. We usually don’t want to hear it from people we actually know. Keep it in your pants and in your brain.

Grateful for Cory Booker today 💙

I should wear one of my Cory Booker shirts today, shouldn’t I? Yes, one of. I changed my registration from Independent to Democrat just so I could vote for him in the primary. 💙

I obviously loved Rex Splode in the books—obviously! And yet Jason Mantzoukas made me love him more than ever 😭😭😭

I’m seeing insta-lust get described as body betrayal in a growing number of posts. For the record, body betrayal is specific to dubcon/noncon. Being hot for someone without knowing/otherwise liking them is very different!

It’s been an incredible week, learning Trust in Tomorrow is an Indieverse Awards nominee! I’m so honored and grateful 💗

I need this. Mark Russell is my hero.
One of the most therapeutic things I've done in a while. Making "protopian" comics for AWA and Futurefic. My first comic in the series, Polis, is about a future where floating cities not only rescue refugees, but are made great by them.

I just finally crossed off a to-do list item many months in the making 😂 I added a media page to my website, and it is plain af in appearance but it feels amazing to see how fortunate I’ve been already as an author. 🥹 I love our community so much.

Every so often I remember the angry customer I helped back in the early days of cell phones who said her phone never rang. I discovered she was powering it down to save the battery; she believed incoming calls would turn the device on automatically. What is common was once practically magic.

Best answer I've seen to the question of AI "written" books:

"Why would I want to read what nobody wanted to write?"

Alt: The adorably pouty porg face shall express my feelings at discovering zero gifs for Rian Johnson’s first masterpiece, Brick. Wtf gif search? I do love The Last Jedi, though, so it’s all good. Jk not all good, salty af. Brick is one of the most brilliantly written, beautifully acted, exquisitely crafted, stylish yet substantial films in history. And not a single gif. SMH.
