I at least have reached the point where I know my self-esteem dips drastically in cycles and is therefore not a reliable measurement. 🫂 It took a loooong time to get here though.

One of my favorite things to do is rewrite an existing scene or chapter from scratch and then read both versions to see if I lost anything I actually want to put back. Usually the new version is a thrilling improvement that I feel couldn’t have been achieved just by editing the original.

The best boss I’ve ever had was the one who recognized that some of his employees found tough love motivational while others would just shut down in response; they required positive reinforcement to flourish.

I love Affinity. Pete Shanahan really got a chance to shine! Helping exonerate Teal’c, being patient with Sam’s lack of an answer, and the sweet joy when she finally said yes (I ❤️ Pete 😄) Plus that opening sequence had a nice little Luke Cage feel.
