It was the second time that I heard about that meeting that it dawned on me what an utter, utter bastard Littleproud was. From the moment she was chosen leader, Sussan Ley has been all class. She' trying to find a way forwards and is using a democratic process to do that, despite the bullying.

The National Mining Party, inc.
No idea why media still depicts Nats as a farmers party. They are a mining party beholden to coal and gas interests and funded by Gina Rinehart. When there is a conflict between farmers and fossil fuels, they always back fossil fuels. Their opposition to wind is to protect fossil fuels for longer.

“Again?”
“Brian, it’s simple. We will make Australia great again. Again.”
“So you’re saying Australia isn’t great? That must be disappointing for people to hear.”
“Brian, to be honest, I hadn’t considered the logical assumption of my promise.”

“Well, Brian, it’s perfectly simple. We asked around at campaign HQ and, for the life of us, we couldn’t find anyone who didn’t own at least one home.”

Dutton: “I don’t know because I’m not a scientist. Scientists can provide advice.” No, Peter, scientists provide EVIDENCE. Tested and retested. You don’t have to be a scientist to trust science any more than you need to be a brain surgeon to trust a competent brain surgeon. Still in denial.

As Israel prepares to ethnically cleanse the whole of Gaza, it is also setting the stage for a regional crisis.

And why TF does #Labor think their only option is to go along w/ nut job media who routinely kick them (& the #Greens & #CommunityIndependents or any other progressives) to the kerb w/ lies & misinformation

Anytime Labor actually stood up to News Corp would be a great day & I’d be on their side 💯
Wouldn’t it be great to have a Leaders Forum hosted by the reputable @thesaturdaypaper.com.au instead of all these appearances at filth, lying, propagandist News Corp forums

I expected better from the Albanese govt. For me this failure to establish a proper working transparent NACC is enough to make me examine more options at voting time.

Trump doesn't have a philosophy or strategy, but he does have a theme: a corrupted form of American exceptionalism, in which the US' unique power is wielded not to export American values but to extort other nations. It's a logical endpoint for divinely mandated mercantile imperialism.

It beggars belief that the robodebt crisis is a matter that the NACC considers to not have met the threshold for public interest and therefore for its deliberations to be held in public. We are paying to be kept in the dark and for no-one to be held accountable.
