I’m with you here but please let’s be careful about saying “full release” in this context
Sen. Ron Wyden on the Trump DOJ not producing all of the Epstein files, as required by law:

"Anything short of a full release today is a violation of the law and a continuation of this administration’s coverup on behalf of a bunch of pedophiles and sex traffickers."

I'm sorry, Bari, did you say your new show is sponsored by BOFA?
CNN has a show with a similar line. That the problem with this country is we just aren’t talking to each other.

It’s the kind of diagnosis that a toddler would land on.

Fuck ‘Em All: A Knives Out Mystery
This is a photo from the Vanity Fair article. Notice how they have to arrange it so Stephen Miller is on the end, so it isn’t obvious that there is no reflection of him on the mirrored table.🧛

@hockeydadjayb.bsky.social can relate to this
Memorable?

Seeing The Phantom Menace on at a midnight show in opening day. The crowd was full of people dressing up as Jedis, wearing Vader and Wookiee suits, it was awesome.

The vibe was *very* different on the way out of the theater.

And WILD THINGS on opening night on the upper west side. The electricity in the theater in the threesome scene, at Bacon in the shower, at the interstitial bit in the credits when Neve Campbell pulled her tooth out, the whole thing was a profoundly connective experience
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

PUNCH-DRUNK LOVE at the midnight screening at the New York film festival when someone had a medical issue and they stopped the film to get assistance and during the pause someone in the balcony yelled to “play music or something” and the theater erupted in scorn and called him a jackass

Also when @brettwean.bsky.social and I saw CONTEMPT at Film Forum and the lady behind us took such offense at Bardot getting slapped that she wouldn’t shut up about it through the rest of the movie
