Priscilla Williams-Till, a cousin of 14-year-old lynching victim Emmett Till, is running for U.S. Senate in Mississippi as a Democrat against incumbent Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith.

She says that Hyde-Smith's infamous remark about being "on the front row" at a public hanging helped inspire her to run.

I spent a lot of last summer making ASL versions of info about Project 2025. The amount of hatred I got was overwhelming. Those folks are quiet now, and there's no pleasure in having been right. It's just sad. It didn't have to be this way.
And tbh P25 is a drop in the bucket of evil these days.

Colbert will be all right, maybe even better off. The world's his oyster and I'm sure MSNBC and Netflix will come calling. He could stand up the biggest late night YouTube channel in days. But they are just torching the Late Show, an institution, solely to appease a dictator. And that fucking sucks.

In 2013, the Obama administration introduced a goal for federal contractors to work towards having 7 percent disabled employees.

Now, as I reported for @motherjones.com, the Trump administration is working to undo this.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.

I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.
