I wanted to see him in a bigger role and in Washington since I lived in Long Beach while he was mayor. I remember him coming to the various marches and unabashedly standing up for our Islamic neighbors. Some day I hope to see #RobertGarcia in the White House.

Apparently, this morning, a handful of states loaded residents' SNAP benefits onto their cards. CA was one of those states. I believe Oregon as well. Trump is,at least for the time being, saying everyone will have their full benefits loaded, as the judge ordered, but there is an appeal in process.

SNAP funding has been severely disrupted because the program’s regular appropriations expired when the government shut down.
