The system is promising, in large part because it can cut vehicle weight by around 661 pounds. 🔌💡

Hi @davidosmond.bsky.social Ive been reading about Vehicle to Grid capabilities in EV’s and was wondering if you think it could help get us to five hours of storage at some point?

It seems the coalition's nuclear plan is saving money by assuming lower demand for EV charging.

Any savings will be more than offset by increased petrol costs, conveniently left out of the costings.

The ISP saves about $75b per year in petrol costs by 2050, as shown here

Hey @jeffcannata.bsky.social it seems like you are really enjoying some Australian stuff at present. Wondering if you have read any of Paul Jennings short stories as yet? If not, I highly recommend. Check out Unreal The Ultimate Collection to start. Some are great for kids too 🙂

The 4:30 movie might be one of my favourite Kevin Smith movies. Im really enjoying this sentimental movie making stage of his career.

Gotta say that Kings Quest 4 by Sierra is really holding up on my 2024 replay. Its been a while so trying to figure everything out again is so much fun. Games built with such restraints led to amazing creativity: i.e. tickling a whales uvula with a peacock feather! Awesome.

When life is strange I remember LOTR often has the answer…

“Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.” - Gandalf

Climate action is like a giant boulder already past its tipping point and rolling downhill toward a greener future.

Governments + corporations can slow it—with serious consequences for people and planet alike—but they can't push it back up the hill.

Gravity, history, and progress are on our side.

Yesterday, I shared this same Canada Day thread on Bluesky, Threads, and X. Here's what I found. 🧵
“Canada is such a northern country, don’t we want a little global warming?” I often hear.

In a nutshell, NO.

We’re warming 2x faster than the rest of the world, driving extreme heat, flood, and sea level rise we are not prepared for. The wildfire season started in Feb this year. Feb!

The whole free speech argument looks pretty strange when you go on Twitter and there’s five things you’re allowed to talk about with two variations of opinion and then you come on here and everyone is fighting over lasagna and one guy is saying he’d fuck the pringles man and then there’s a scientist
