Now is the time for anyone in an at-risk group, those who communicate w/ them—or even those who want to normalize privacy & create cover for vulnerable people—to think about how they can upgrade their data security & surveillance resistance ahead of a 2nd Trump admin.

The WIRED Guide to Protecting Yourself From Government Surveillance
Donald Trump has vowed to deport millions and jail his enemies. To carry out that agenda, his administration will exploit America’s digital surveillance machine. Here are some steps you can take to ev...

Sabrina Carpenter’s response to the White House ICE video tweet reaches a million “likes.”

More depravity from the demented one.

Trump admin to withhold SNAP food aid from Democrat-led states.

Over the holiday season.

A majority of federal tax dollars comes from blue states, under such circumstances, it would be prudent for blue states to withhold tax dollars to federal government.

Sabrina Carpenter ratios the White House.

Carpenter called out WH video using her song “Juno” for an ICE video as “evil and disgusting.”

WH responded with their standard rhetoric, refusing to apologize, and in standard Trump fashion, called her, “stupid, or is it slow.”

An official government account using the word “remigration” is not normal. It’s an imported term from European far-right movements that refers to mass expulsion. Democracies do not use population-purification language. #holdfast #SteadyState

How can you not know what part of the body you had an MRI on?

Thusly, is the result of the cognitive test.
Reporter: Governor Walz called for the release of your MRI results

Trump: They were perfect like my phone call where I got impeached.

Reporter: Can you tell us what they were looking at?

Trump: I have no idea. It was just an MRI. It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and aced it.

The Trump apologist checklist after Trump or his administration does something awful:

1. Fake news, it didn’t happen.
2. It might’ve happened, but it would be OK if it happened.
3. So it happened, so what.
4. Whatabout [insert names of various presidents here]

The incompetence of the Trump administration is mind blowing.

They don’t expect anyone to question their decisions/actions, or lack there of, and to accept it by rote.

In 10 months, what has Trump actually done for the American people?
WELKER: His asylum was approved in April on Trump's watch. Was there a vetting process in place?

NOEM: The vetting process all happened under Biden

WELKER: Are you saying he wasn't vetted?

NOEM: Vetting happens when they come into the country and that was completely abandoned under Biden

Just because Trump was granted immunity by SCOTUS doesn’t mean he can extend that to anyone, right?

The Nuremberg trials reinforced that following orders doesn’t mean one isn’t responsible for their crimes committed — does Trump’s “memo” supersede this?

Why would he think so?
A presidential memo saying officers carrying out Caribbean boat strikes can’t be prosecuted is a confession the attacks are war crimes.

Virtually every lawyer across the political spectrum identifying them as blatant, unambiguous violations of the laws of armed combat is because they’re war crimes.
On the horrific news that Pete Hegseth ordered the killing of boat bombing survivors, remember: The Trump Murder Memo "authorizing" the strikes preemptively clears those carrying them out. That's unusual. And we still haven't heard from the commander who resigned:

This would be a war crime even if there were an actual war and these people were actual combatants, which there isn't and they weren't.

It's unquestionably an unlawful homicide under any form of law you wish to apply: military or civilian, domestic or international, federal or state. ...
Textbook war crime/extrajudicial killing

"Two survivors were clinging to the smoldering wreck. The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack ... ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions."

Hegseth order on first Caribbean boat strike, officials say: Kill them all
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a verbal order to kill all crew members in the Sept. 2 strike on a suspected drug boat. Navy SEALs fired a second missile.

The National Guard shouldn’t have been there to begin with — it was undoubtedly their rhetoric that led to this shooting and now their created crisis will have greater repercussions.

The Trump-led vicious cycle ad nauseam.
Hegseth announces plans to order deployment of 500 additional National Guard troops to DC following the shooting.

Rest in Peace.

This is Trump’s fault!
The Treasury Department was on lockdown after the fatal shooting of two National Guardsmen, two people familiar with the situation told The Post.

As of Tuesday, there are 2,188 Guard members assigned to duty in D.C. https://wapo.st/48irgBT

You have to ask, why was Witkoff chosen for this critically important role of special envoy to Putin? He had no diplomatic or foreign policy experience. No education on those subjects. So of all people, why him? I think what we all surmised is clear - Putin wanted Witkoff.

Three things about the Witkoff tapes:

1) It appears Western intelligence services have decided to let Witkoff (and Trump) know they have recordings of their traitorous conversations w/Russia.

2) This Ukraine "deal" was all Witkoff's idea.

3) Congressional leaders should demand he be fired.

I swore an oath to the Constitution in 1986. I've upheld it through 25 years of service and every day since I retired.

If Trump's trying to intimidate me, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to our country to be silenced by bullies who care more about power than the Constitution.

Trump is this Nobel Peace Prize behavior?
We’re about to invade Venezuela because trump wants their oil. No other reason. The airspace has been cleared. Embassies are being evacuated. Flights are being canceled.

He’s going to kill people for oil.
