11/11, noticed on Strava lots of pro's started their training today. One flew quite near me (Arensman). Does 'De Waluwe' shape remind you of anything in particular?

Second time in a week Luke Plapp is scouting part of the 70.3 Ironman Nice route. It takes place on June 28th, clashing with a likely Tour start. Weird. To be continued 🎤

Schachmann on new season goals: "I would like to be at the start of the World Championships in Montreal.”

I'm sure riders amend their sportive goals when Pogacar also lines up, but this takes 'expectation management' to the next level. I'm sure you'll tick that box, Maxi! Jetzt geht's loss!

Off season quiz time, who's the person on the left? He's a former Giro stage winner and wore the yellow jersey at the Tour for three days.

The Herald Sun Tour won't be returning in 2026 after all
It seemed as if everything was progressing as planned.

I know, I know... the season's not over yet and most are craving for some down time (or some proper CX 😅) , but the route of next year's Tour Down Under has been announced, and they've bigged it up properly this time.

A prologue, 2x Corkscrew, 3x Willunga, 8x Mt Lofty 🥂
Stages | Santos Tour Down Under
The 2026 stages are a blend of tradition and innovation as the race covers 1,153.5 kilometres across South Australia.

Bit of news on Girmay's status, according to Het Laatste Nieuws, he's free to go if and when the merger between Lotto and Interarche goes ahead - there's some issues that prevent the merger to be announceed, mainly a 2.5 mil dept on IWC's part. But.. a deal with Premier Tech has not been signed yet.

the UCI has requested teams and riders to use toilet facilities only. I've seen a few road side nature breaks, but yeah, this early in the race, most riders follow the request.
Okay maybe Pogi is fine and they're just not allowed to pee in public 😆 Danish comms conclusion, no idea if it's true 😂

BREAKING: Tour de Suisse will be changing format next year. Over five days, two stages will be raced daily – one each for men and women – starting and finishing in the same place. For the public this means a new experience in a different region every day.

Magnier missed to Visma-train in Olenska Slovenska, with 8k to go. No GC win for him by the looks of it. Uijtdebroeks in pole position (that's another name many folks mispronounce, I reckon 🥂)

I'm always confused when dutch eurosport commentator mentions 'Djogan Heart' when he refers to the British Lidl-Trek rider.

I'm first to admit to make similar mistakes. 'Primos Rohglik' for instance. And Enric Mas always turns to Enric Menos at the end of a Grand Tour 😉

Actually, the situation was far more threatning than just flagpoles. From Twitter, riders pass while the barricades are broken...
September 3, 2025 at 5:10 PM
We'll have to wait for official communication, but I reckon these flagpoles formed a security risk. Some are long enough to reach the middle of the road with mal intend. Riders passing with 50 k/h, it's a right call to neutralise at 3k.

Does anybody know if Jakob Soderkvist will be more races with the big boys of Lidl-TREK this year? Tak.

The GP Quebec is three weeks away, but the course has been published. Pogacar hinted at a course change in Slovenian media a fortnight ago and he's right. The course is generally easierflatter, but the finale is shorter/steeper, more explosive.
