From X:

"ANTÓNIO MORGADO SIGNS WITH EF EDUCATION EASYPOST FOR 2027! 💥 After three seasons with UAE Team Emirates, the 'flying mustache' signs with EF Education EasyPost and will join the U.S. team starting in 2027!"

Unconfirmed but credible source.

Stage 2 of Tour of Bright was a 17.4km on the out and back Buckland Valley circuit and it was the Australian ITT Champion, Luke Plapp again proving too good to take the win by +29:64 over team mate Kell O’Brien and a very impressive ride by Bright local & U23 Australian Road Champion, Julian Baudry.

And there was actually some road cycling today, as the Tour Of Bright has started. This two day event usually serves as a pipe opener for the Australian summer of cycling. On the start line, a hand full of pro's, among which Luke Plapp, Kelland O'Brien and Oscar Onley, who's spending the off season

Strava watch: Sam Welsford was training in Nice up to Thursday. He moved to just north of Denia yesterday, staying at same place as a string of Ineos riders. 👀 That settles that then.

From behind paywall in Het Laatste Nieuw, auto translated: "We're also hearing from Visma-Lease a Bike that Van Aert will be changing his road program in 2026 compared to previous years. He wants to ride more road races in the lead-up to the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. /1

The next rider launching his own youtube channel, Thibau Nys. Remco started this trend, a couple of years ago, undoubtly with the intention to keep control over his image and how he's perceived in the media. Nice video, showing his character well. 'Rufus' is his nick name.

Listening to Watts Occuring latest pod, it strikes me how energised Thomas seems to be, as opposed to say, the last two years where he came across somewhat tired and uninspired. Maybe he kicked the retirement can ahead one year too far? Either way, the fire within has been relit, nice to hear. 🔊

Tadej Pogacar says there's no truth to the rumor of him starting the season in Australia. See article/video below. Pogacar was present at his agent's pedal tournament, which is more or less a low key team building get-together & media day.

Second time in a week Luke Plapp is scouting part of the 70.3 Ironman Nice route. It takes place on June 28th, clashing with a likely Tour start. Weird. To be continued 🎤

Schachmann on new season goals: "I would like to be at the start of the World Championships in Montreal.”

I'm sure riders amend their sportive goals when Pogacar also lines up, but this takes 'expectation management' to the next level. I'm sure you'll tick that box, Maxi! Jetzt geht's loss!

Off season quiz time, who's the person on the left? He's a former Giro stage winner and wore the yellow jersey at the Tour for three days.
