From Vine's strava, yellow was uphill. The three in de middle, what's that? Torque training? What's it good for?

11/11, noticed on Strava lots of pro's started their training today. One flew quite near me (Arensman). Does 'De Waluwe' shape remind you of anything in particular?

Second time in a week Luke Plapp is scouting part of the 70.3 Ironman Nice route. It takes place on June 28th, clashing with a likely Tour start. Weird. To be continued 🎤

Correct! Picture taken last week at 'Ruta Harold Tejada', a grand fondo. Jarlingson Pantano also present.

Off season quiz time, who's the person on the left? He's a former Giro stage winner and wore the yellow jersey at the Tour for three days.

I asked chatgpt, which got it from french wikipedia (reliable?)

Actually, the situation was far more threatning than just flagpoles. From Twitter, riders pass while the barricades are broken...
September 3, 2025 at 5:10 PM
We'll have to wait for official communication, but I reckon these flagpoles formed a security risk. Some are long enough to reach the middle of the road with mal intend. Riders passing with 50 k/h, it's a right call to neutralise at 3k.

2025 course & profile. Mind the absence of the North-Eastern loop and inclusion of a loop in the western section of the course. The final 2k consist of 800m at 8% and then 1.2k at 3%.

The GP Quebec is three weeks away, but the course has been published. Pogacar hinted at a course change in Slovenian media a fortnight ago and he's right. The course is generally easierflatter, but the finale is shorter/steeper, more explosive.

2024 course:

Always a good read and often my lead into the current stage during my morning cup 'o ☕. Missing the reference to Count d'Artagnan hough, born in Auch around 1613 (exact date is unknown). Article could've hooked into this with phrases like 'Will Vingegaard and Pogacar cross sword' ⚔️

Samuele Privitera of Hagens-Berman Jayco (19yo) passed away following a crash at the Giro Valle d'Aosta on Wednesday. He had WT-potential. A statement released by the race organisers

Always interestig to read what Danielson's take is. In contrast to last year's ITT over 25k, Jonas lost considerably more time (37" to 1'19") than Jorgeson (54" to 1'21"), so I don't agree fully there. But his take is interesting nontheless.

Little quiz: what do these black dots on the yellow jersey represent?

update: alpecin-deceuninck management also liked what we saw from Verstrynge so far and offered him a three years contract extention. He is selected for the Tour as well, wearing bib number 108. We'll be watching him develop 👀

I can see Emiel 'replacing' Quinten Hermans, who is leaving. #fanclub
