The "ICE is using military tactics suited for a warzone, not for American streets" rhetoric kinda misses the point that warzones are not naturally occuring. The US military creates war zones from residential neighborhoods and the tactics are not more justifiable just because it's overseas

as someone smarter than me once said “your experience is not universal” so talking about representation as universally “good/bad” for a given group is just a debate trap lol.

a lot of times (especially in fandom circles) the assertion that “x is bad representation” just gets a lot of people talking shit about it after not even consuming the media itself or understanding context. (thinking about batfam fans dogpiling GFM here as well) so idk do ur own research

never been a fan of youtube explainer media analysis videos but i feel like maybe we should just encourage people to decide for themselves using their own critical analysis skills and personal experiences (esp wrt “representation” which can be personal if ppl like it or not)
