A lesson I'm continually having to learn about my own process is that if drawing comics feels like there's a brick wall in my brain, that's often less an indicator that I need to push through and more that I need to rework the page to be something I'm actually excited about.

my webcomic The Nameless Prisoner is coming soon...! fantasy adventure (gay) romance..
It's about a cursed knight who's deserted his order, and now he's been blackmailed into delivering the head of a recently executed prisoner to the queen... but when he shows up the guy is unfortunately very alive

This is more in-line with what these "rural" cemeteries were designed for anyways. They were effectively public parks where people would picnic and stroll. Now, most cemeteries are both too precious for public use and utterly neglected by their municipalities. Make them public spaces again!
I am 100% in favor of multi-purpose cemeteries.

Café, bird sanctuary, dog park, apiary, sheep pen, open-air classroom, community raspberry garden, all of it.

"Gothic" is one of the best bridges between academic and pop-cultural writings on the genre I've found, so I'm EXTREMELY excited to now buy this.
From the author of Gothic, a marvelously illustrated cultural history of graves and graveyards, from the earliest known burial sites to today’s green burials.

How important is lighting to photographing a gravestone?

Here is the same stone at 11:55 am and 12:28 pm on the same day. Raking sunlight picks out every detail in the carving (and even the texture of the stone).

Not out of Act 1 yet, so maybe this is some serious hubris talking, but I think a lot of people complaining about Silksong are not meeting it where it's at mechanically. It's a very different beast than Hollow Knight even if they superficially look the same.

so far, my favourite shortbox comic! a delightful sex comedy about a pair of dysfunctional fujoshi that has some really, really funny fake yaoi comics in it. if you've ever been around BL culture or the women that inhabit it, this is written with a lot of love for and fond jokes about both.

Heidi has supported so many cartoonists just starting out, including me- please donate if you can to help her out during a series of hardships no one should have to endure.
My friend and industry colleague Heidi has received the devastating news that her partner can no longer fight off his cancer and must go into hospice. She will lose him soon and she is a good person who has already lost so much. Please consider helping her defray the costs and survive the aftermath.

Not sure how to describe it, but this time of year always feels like I’m almost “home” so I wanted to come up with something that touches on that feeling a little
