I'm sorry, but "they took over the whole federal payments system, fired the career staff, and won't let anybody see what they're doing" is not a situation in which you wait for more information. It's a situation in which you assume the worst. There's no explanation for it other than rampant crimes.

There are some things in this reality that are beyond even my powers of comprehension.
I realized a while back that it would be possible to decorate for Christmas entirely in wildly offensively commercial 9/11-themed junk.
This heinous stuff is, in my opinion, the essence of the USA.

similarly noticed that MAGA, while not in any way in favor of material redistribution, fucking *hates*, like viscerally despises, cosmopolitan bourgeois values of propriety, dignity, comporting oneself with respect, etc.
