Everyone needs to remember, the administration ordered the flag to half mast for an internet meme monkey, but at my VA hospital, the flag has not been lowered for one of our nurses who served the Veterans of this country. Extreme hypocrisy.

When Churly Kuck was murdered, my VA hospital was ordered to fly flags at half mast. This weekend, an actual VA Nurse, who, by the very nature of his career did more for veterans than Kuck ever did, was murdered and flags have not been lowered. This is not why I served. It is a disgrace.

I wish someone could make me understand why the governor of a state can't call the national guard as a defense force for the citizens of their state? I'm an Army vet & I always understood they were state forces & we were federal forces.

There are a number of ways we can have a better system. The one I think would be best would make serving in Congress like Jury Duty except you have to serve a 4 year term making what congress people make, which would be an upgrade for most of us. No election, just randomized pick.
👉Career politicians, including long-entrenched Democrats, have hoarded power for decades-some over 309 years collectively. Complacency and incumbency have replaced representation. Real change comes only when we vote every careerist out and reclaim democracy from their grip.

My social media of choice is reddit & it really just hinges on one specific thing: downvotes. On bsky, I find that I really want to just downvote some posts, but not enough to comment on them. Plus, less people see downvoted things, which would probably hide more things I don't want to read.
