We, the undersigned members of the Hearst Union, will not accept a contract that does not adequately address issues such as compensation, work from home flexibility, and AI protections with binding guarantees. Should we not receive such a contract, we are prepared to strike.

Since we won our union election in May, Hearst has refused to bargain with us, while repeatedly violating labor law.

Since then, we have withstood the company’s union-busting, won an election with 80% of the vote and become official NewsGuild of NY members.
