I shout from the rooftops again. Unless you’re given a drm free copy of the digital file, you’re only renting it. Every single time. If you don’t own(and control) the server it’s stored on you don’t have shit.
So Crunchyroll has acquired the Funimation library and is shutting down the app. Digital copies you purchased on Funimation? Gone. Wasted money.

People ask why I collect physical media. This is why. You can literally BUY A THING and a bunch of well-compensated assholes can be like “actually no”

Pure Hell was entrenched in the NYC underground scene, living with the New York Dolls, performing with Sid Vicious when Death were in still in early stages..

“I don’t want to be remembered just because we were black.. but for being a part of the first tier of punk in the 70s.”

The forgotten story of Pure Hell, America’s first black punk band
The four-piece lived with the New York Dolls and played with Sid Vicious, but they’ve been largely written out of cultural history

Yes, except read the policy carefully!! If you have paid gigs, your renter’s insurance may not cover your gear. Check out specialized musicians’ insurance carriers like Clarion.
if you are a musician and a renter, you should run and not walk to get renter’s insurance, because it covers your gear if it gets stolen (which 100% will happen at some point if you play shows)
Renter's insurance is practically peanuts. It also can cover items stolen/lost outside your house. A lot of things in life are scams, but home/car insurance are not.

Bluesky is exciting because it's mostly pretty chill but there's always a chance that the next thing you scroll past might give you 4d6 psychic damage

When you see a peer-reviewed scientific journal article, it often says “pay $35 to read this.”

Did you know that $0 of that goes to the authors of the article?

Just email us and we’ll be happy to send you a copy for free. We’re usually thrilled that anyone cares. 🧪🦑🦈
