Ah, how funny — yeah the original $25K/$26K? goal was passed but now has changed (like, five minutes ago I think). It's possible the organizer raised the goal to a stretch number or maybe GFM is just engaging in fuckery but all the money still goes to help out our friends no matter what the number.
Gofundme does this thing now where it tells people smaller goals and then will all of a sudden sudden bump up the goal to a bigger number progressively until they hit the max intended It's super frustrating. It no longer shows nearly completed as of right now

I think they're TRYING to tell me they'd really like me to cancel my land line but I've had that sumbitch since 2004 when they were still Qwest and I'm not about to give it up

Without telling me, CenturyLink split my phone and Internet service into separate account numbers so now they can send me two bills a month (and try to catch me with two late fees, apparently).
Anyway if your bill seems extra light this month maybe you got a similar situation going; be careful!
