I’m an asshole for being a Black woman who dislikes the woobified gay slave owner show but the gleeful racists deserve the utmost respect and care in this situation.
the most important thing to me when I entered this thread was getting the person who said racist shit to stop doing that and rethink their behavior in the future.

The Dodgers won a World Series and 106 games while not paying the luxury tax. You know first-hand Friedman can run put together successful teams on a budget if he needs to. And LA is always gonna be a FA destination. A cap wouldn't change a whole lot, IMO. But whatever helps people cope, I guess.
But they only went there cause the others went there for riches.

What the Dodgers are doing really shouldn’t be allowed, but it’s specifically written into the CBA that teams can do this and the CBA was written with the idea that no team would actually use the rules to try to win
People keep saying that small-market teams can't do contract deferrals because they don't have the resources of the Dodgers or whatever, but it's more that players probably aren't willing to put money aside in the present when the reason to do so would be to join a team that doesn't try.
