A group of 6 LCC K9 comfort dogs arrived in Minneapolis yesterday in the wake of the latest mass shooting. The organization deploys comfort dogs following tragic events. The dogs wore their "please pet me vests," offering love and comfort to those processing this heartbreaking tragedy. 15/10 for all

To the heathland for #SpringStories today, where we’ve got great news to share!
A record 211 Nightjars were counted on RSPB reserves last year - the highest ever.
These nocturnal birds nest on the ground, with adults sheltering chicks beneath them until nightfall... 🌙

2am is the darkest of night. I slept in deep dreams when I was awoken by the thundering paws of some creature running across my pillow, just past my head.
I opened my eyes and beheld upon the nightstand a cat, mere inches away, staring.
Staring.

I saw movement when I began to wash my hands. It was a spider in the sink.
"Hey," I said, "why don't you go find some of the ants? I'll bet they are DELICIOUS."
If the spider heard me, it showed no sign. But perhaps I gave it something to think about.
