We have had a report saying two women walking up to a protest today at BAe Samlesbury were stopped by Lancashire Police and advised to remove their t-shirts that say 'Free Palestine', as it may "breach the proscription order".

And so it begins.

1/2 It's worth reflecting on the fact that the proscription of @palaction.bsky.social comes not because the state is strong, but because it is weak. The established methods of repression and criminalisation have not stood up to the bravery and commitment of activists.

It's remarkable how little interest there has been in the legacy media about the police moving from the crack down on Palestine direct action and student encampments that it ignored, now to negotiated, usually very cooperative, A-B demonstrations.

This is how state repression spreads.

Today is my birthday and I’m finally launching my crowdfunder for a wheelchair. I’ve spent 5 years housebound and it’s time for that to change. Anything you can give is appreciated, even if that’s just sharing this tweet with your followers ♿️ #NEISvoid #MutualAid #DisabledSky

It is shocking that Turkey’s attacks on the Kurds and the autonomous area of North East Syria are treated as kind of footnote to the Syria story. Be clear: a region of Syria is under major assault; the war is NOT over.

A lot of ignorance being displayed by the commentariat about North East #Syria (known by the Kurds as 'Rojava'). It is a self-governing, multi-ethnic (not just 'the Kurds'), woman-led democracy. It is extraordinary and must be protected.
