One of the defining themes of the past 11 months, and certainly one most pertinent to the climate beat, was “attacks on science and expertise,” which seem likely to continue into 2026.

We need to get more out there. The top suspect was Naveed Akram, supposedly he was an IDF soldier who served in Gaza, but something caused him to flip out and become antisemitic. We still don't know why.
