Drove into Southampton on the M27 and saw several England flags as well as Union Jack's. The realisation that I felt down was a lack of patriotism was palpable, as was a sudden spurt of patriotism these flags gave. Previously, I'd have mocked them but no longer. I, too, will now be a flagshagger.
