Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵

Hey friends! I'm working on pulling together a public art project on Delmar to paint some HOPE on the boarded up building in our neighborhood. We need to raise $500 for paints, supplies to make this happen. Will you help spread the word and consider donating? Venmo --> @huSTLcommunity

Condiments pumping and thumping in time
The green light flashes, the flags go up
Churning and burning, they spurn the ketchup

I'll be at my son's graduation on the 17th. Hopefully, someone will share the highlights for those of us who cannot attend.

Shortly after Jerry Garcia died, I went to see Patti Smith perform. She played a fantastic rendition of "Not Fade Away." It was moving and wonderful to listen to. If you get a chance to see her, take it.
Happy birthday to Patti Smith. The Godmother of Punk turns 78 years old today.
