ICE conducts daylight executions of civilians and uses children as bait, they are decades beyond reformable.
This is why there must be a full, independent investigation of every incident that ICE has been involved in. DHS and this administration cannot be trusted to carry out investigations on their own.

FWIW, my fav recent Black history read is America on Fire: The Untold History of Police Violence &Black Rebellion Since the 1960s by Elizabeth Hinton. Highly, highly recommend. Her other book, From the war on poverty to the War on Crime: The Making of Mass Incarceration in America is also amazing.

You don’t have to be a lawyer to know that makes no sense. But lawyers interpret statutes according to a hierarchy of agreed-upon “canons of construction.”

According to multiple NYT sources, it wasn’t even military personnel at Fort Bliss that fired an anti-drone laser at alleged cartel drones. It was CBP who used the weapon on loan from DoD against a child’s party balloon they mistook for a drone. The Pentagon gave CBP an anti-aircraft weapon.
