Brought the first day of 2026 to a close with a rewatch of “The Boy and the Heron.” Many things are bad but it feels so very good to know people like Miyazaki are out there making art like that.

Book borrows have gone up every year since I moved to Baltimore and I simply don't believe that's a coincidence!
