This is not the story. The story is Trump nominating a completely unfit person to run the defense department that he knows will be pliant and Senate Republicans making a choice to not give a shit. Hegseth didn't accomplish anything today.

"'Patriot' sometimes reads like a thriller in which the narrative opens with 'If you’re reading this, I’m already dead.'" And so he is, but he speaks from beyond the grave, and we should listen.

The thing I can't understand is how DJT learned that in April 1945 Hitler shot himself in the head to evade execution while Mussolini's dead body was hung upside down in a town square & mutilated by his own people ... & then said to himself: you know, I think fascism has a happy ending for me.

This man, Judge Merchan, has bigger cojones than all of the old white republican men combined in holding the line on justice.

Thank you Judge Merchan

He already rocked MAGA world — twice. Now he’s Trump’s judge.
New York Justice Juan Merchan told a Trump Org. executive he got off easy in another criminal case. Will the former president be so lucky?

That’s why I propose in the podcast setting up a large legal defense project …. Would require a lot of pro bono legal work and and funding. But I think it can be done. More lawyers need to get onto defending the rule of law.

This is not a hot take.

This is a man who has no sense of efficiency whatsoever. He's a robber baron and we can keep acting surprised about it if we like.
Only the best.
