finished The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by @sgj.bsky.social and I am going to be thinking about it forever. Its in the same category as The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives in Your Home. it just pulls you in so fast and seamlessly while also digging its claws into your heart in the best way

I just finished You Weren't Meant To Be Human by Andrew Joseph White and OH MY GOD it was such a good book. I feel seen in ways I didn't know I COULD feel seen. Also creeped out by worms. So "seen" but also "worms". 10/10 recommend getting it when it's out!

My office hours are in the morning for 2 reasons.
1: tis when I have the best availability
2: freshmen "bio for nonmajors" lab students are not likely to go to 8am office hours so I will have time to wage war on my TBR pile (I won't, but I can pretend until thesis writing fully takes over my life)

(1/5) 📢 Remembering Henrietta Lacks on #Juneteenth:

Today we honor the countless contributions of Black Americans—many of which came at great personal cost. Among these stories is Henrietta Lacks, whose immortal legacy has shaped modern medicine without the recognition she or her family deserved.

I love when a book makes me want to start a murder board. I have never ONCE solved a mystery before the end of a novel but I love a good yarn conspiracy board

13% in to The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre and I am in LOVE with how effortless the character building is. I know so much about these characters without it interrupting the flow of the story.

200 pages into Hell Followed With Us! I am not usually a first person narration girlie but I am in LOVE with how AJW is using the first person style to work racing thoughts into Benji's voice
