The ECHR is a British creation that protects us all.

While other party leaders talk about leaving it, rewriting it or watering it down, Liberal Democrats stand firm.

NEW: Labour's planned disability benefit cuts could affect the majority of current working-age claimants with ischaemic heart disease, inflammatory arthritis, hip and knee disorders and Crohn’s disease, according to analysis of new DWP data

By me, for the Big Issue:

Absolutely. Shame on you, Labour.
Keir Starmer, on high net migration: "The damage this has done to our country is incalculable."

I would venture that it is rather Labour that are doing the incalculable damage to our country by acting as the midwives for a Reform government in 2029.

They will never be forgiven if it happens.

Disgusting. Labour Party supporters no longer have a home under this vile, pathetic, Reform tribute act. So disappointed. So disgusting.

Sweaty Nigel really doesn’t like being challenged, does he.
Farage insists the gov't must put a cap on immigration. But when asked to define his own cap...

Starmer: this is "incalculable damage"
I've just come from the hospital where my mam is at the moment having had a fall. The staff are Indian, Pakistani, African, Filipino, Irish, Spanish etc. in fact the hospital had an enormous drive to get people from the Philippines to move here to work.

How does Keir Starmer plug the holes in his sinking ship when it’s springing leaks left, right and centre?

The Prime Minister imitating Enoch Powell’s ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech is sickening.

That speech fuelled decades of racism and division. Echoing it today is a disgrace. It adds to anti-migrant rhetoric that puts lives at risk.

Shame on you, Keir Starmer.

Behold air quality stripes; like climate stripes, but for the stuff that kills you directly.

The visualization shows how much clean air legislation, moving away from coal, and generally not setting carbon on fire improve air quality and reduce excess deaths.

A youth mobility scheme is not "free movement". And free movement would not "mock Brexit" anyway - several non-EU countries have it.
Consideration of a youth mobility scheme with the EU is apparently mocking Brexit (heaven forbid)

How small and mean and backward.

I can’t help but read that and feel there needs to be a shift in how areas of the media write. That’s a beautifully crafted article, but there’s a reason why “stop the boats” messaging works with the masses. It’s simple. We need to find a way to make the truth as simple for them to understand.
