Happy to report that a year later I am still obsessed and my starter survived a summer in the fridge.

Sorry, we promised not to post much today but we had to make a special callout. We forgot to give a proper shoutout to a few places yesterday. Denver and Dallas Fort Worth, you broke records. You were incredible.

I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.

I can't emphasize enough that the most important thing journalists can do right now is publish exactly this kind of article

Good one, Senators. Get off your bums and OBSTRUCT. You redirect the media, you regain the goodwill of voters and you get the reality of American lives on record and in front of eyes around the world.
Keep going.

I wish @booker.senate.gov nothing but shockingly good traffic and nose blindness for life from the smell of Elizabeth, NJ (iykyk).

We just want to say—we love all of you and are proud to call you our friends! Our coalition members have met so many incredible people while organizing and joining events. The media might not cover everything, but America is fighting back.

Reminder: this isn’t a state of the union, it’s just Tropicana transferring his rallies to our congressional halls for funsies. Expect this to become a regular, disgusting thing.

Tonight, a friend I met on Open Diary in 2001 was there for me with my 5yo kid during dance competition today. The internet is a wild place.

Tomorrow will be a dark day for many.

For disabled, marginalized, LGBTQ+ folks & women. For anyone who still cares about others

The disability community saw this coming. It’s important we listen & understand that labelling people as expendable for 5 years leads nowhere good 🧵

One thing before tomorrow:

Use your local libraries.

Get your card.

Borrow books, manga, films, audios, ebooks.

Recommend titles for purchase (usually online).

Attend promoted activities.

Fill out those "How are we doing?" questionnaires.

Tell your kids that libraries are good.

They are.

I used to love reading dystopian fiction in high school.

Reaaaaally not enjoying living through dystopian reality as an adult.
