So proud to represent these families suing to stop the DOD’s censorship in their public schools. Read the article to find out more about our lawsuit and why she is fighting for her kids’ education.

A reminder to go watch and listen to @sketchshark.bsky.social's Glendale in Centaurworld if you haven't yet. Glendale is an actual genius though.

The Ten Commandments do not belong in our public school classrooms. No child should be forced to read an unavoidable religious text every day if they want a public education.

Working like crazy, kids at home without school everyday, and ending the week with baking Challah and listening to Bunny radio. It’s 2020 again! Shabbat Shalom!

Yesterday, we learned but could not verify that Louisville and the US DOJ have agreed to a consent decree for LMPD. Today, the DOJ announced Mayor Craig Greenberg and LMPD Chief Paul Humphrey will hold a press conference at 11:30 a.m. to make a "civil rights announcement."

Now that I’m a law professor footnotes are more important to me.

Also, if you understand this political art you’ve passed at least part of Con Law. Because this was happening at the US Supreme Court literally this afternoon. I know people, I can hook you up. We need good lawyers. Hit me up.

I wrote about a lawsuit challenging Kentucky’s total abortion ban, and what it means that desired, non-medical abortions have been sidelined in the mainstream reproductive rights movement’s post-Dobbs messaging. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

After Dobbs, pro-choice advocates have emphasized women in medical crises. But those tragic cases are a limited picture

We filed a new lawsuit challenging Kentucky's abortion bans based on every Kentuckian's right to privacy and bodily autonomy. Read our press release and the full complaint at the link.

❤️ and needed this:”If you litigate, do it with the expectation that you will win. And act like it…and remain confident. Those who can still feel shame-whether those at your opponents table or those on the bench-will feel it when you hold the standard high. And your clients will never forget it.”

I don't know what words to use to capture how important state courts are now.

Right has cemented its hold on federal courts; in states where it can do the same, that really shuts down civil or voting rights litigation. Left just needs its all in this spaces.

Why I took it state by state here:
How Supreme Court Elections Set the Stage for Coming Battles, from Voting to Abortion
More than before, progressives working to protect people’s rights will need state supreme courts to be hospitable to lawsuits that are increasingly dead on arrival at the federal level.
