Whenever there's a heat wave, I see all these social media posts about the importance of rescuing animals trapped in hot cars, and I love to see it. Truly.

It just feels incongruent with the ways people insist I'm naïve for thinking we can normalize bystander intervention for hate and harassment.

You know how quickly you would rescue a dog trapped in a hot car? I want you to have the same energy for people in distress around you.

That's what bystander intervention is - showing up for each other, regardless of whether we know each other or not.

If I had a nickel for every time I got let go from a job right at the start of the summer, I’d have two nickles!

The only thing keeping me motivated while house hunting right now is the sounds of my partner giggling and playing with our two daughters on the days we have sleepovers.
The market is BLEAK, but I want this every. Day. Forever.

Anyone else who just read that GameStop Canada is being bought by a Quebec company and rebranded to EB games now have Circle of Life stuck in their heads?

Waking up in the middle of election night and NOT immediately feeling shame in humanity is a very nice feeling!

Side note- the only reason I’m not out there this weekend is that if I wait until election day my polling place becomes my apartment building lobby. Can’t get much more convenient than that

Reports of huge lines at all the polling places my friends have gone to.

Maybe we need to all get the day off to vote in future Ontario elections

Seems time to state once again, that I know and love trans people, I know and love genderqueer people, I know and love autistic people. (And I know people for whom those realities overlap!)

They are not a burden to society and their existence does not threaten me, my gender or my life in any way.

Campbells Soup is trying to pull a fast one.

Their soup hasn't been made in Canada since 2018, but they have printed a Maple Leaf on the label, representing it is.
The Maple Leaf is not an official Canada label.
This is a marketing ploy!

Beware!

Oh FFS Ontarians. Stop saying there wasn't enough exposure about Ford's corruption. Every single person in Ontario knows Doug Ford and his very long history. Right from his time in Council with his screwed up brother. 55% of progressives could have ended him. They chose not to.
