Ko-Fi No change in current price at this time, but I will always ask if people receiving this coaching want any sessions recorded for the use of playback, they will not be used for any content unless they have a desire for it to be. New Coaching Options! - Content In exchange for art/help in a video I will provide a coaching session either at an individual level or at a team level. (the help will just be recording the coaching session which will be used for content/editing purposes) - Twitch Subs I will do individual coaching in exchange for a twitch sub can either be done during a stream or done privately off-stream note that it will be more of a replay review than a full session. All options will allow people to submit a review form at the end for future improvements.

I just wanna play comp, I genuinely feel so miserable without that part of my routine just gone. I just don't have it in me anymore to find a team, so I just keep playing X Rank to try to get better at the game but I just don't know I really hate the lack of feedback. It just feels so bleh idk.

My Midlevel Experience #compsplatoon
After playing 40+ hours with midlevel, I can confidently say it was the most miserable experience I’ve had playing this game mostly because I skipped this part of the scene back in S2 and didn’t realize how bad it could actually be. It’s not miserable because of overall skill level, because yeah everything is gonna feel worse outside of top level after being in it for long. The biggest thing hurting this part of the scene is ego. I had over 60 tryouts, and almost all of them said it’s hard for them to even get four people to try out with. That genuinely confused me, because for the most part everyone I played with felt extremely similar in skill, and I could easily see these players scrimming each other regularly and figuring out how to mesh over time. This explains a lot of why midlevel feels weaker as a whole. A lot of these players simply don’t get enough meaningful playtime outside of rare pickups or X Rank, so they’re missing the constant feedback loop that actually drives improvement. Playing against people at a similar level forces you to recognize patterns, and improve through adaptions. Over time, that raises the average skill for everyone involved. There were so many situations in games where I had to explain why we were losing or what we needed to change to win and I honestly think most of these players would’ve figured it out themselves eventually if they were consistently playing each other instead of isolating themselves or waiting for “better” lobbies. when players actually PLAY THE GAME, the average skill level naturally rises. This isn't entirely mid levels fault though, I think top level players can do a better job at providing knowledge to mid level players to improve but better questions need to be asked to top players too, all the time I see questions like oh what special is best or how do i play "insert weapon here" these are terrible questions and we need to move on to better questions like "what should i have done in this scenario here" b…

Flow Aura State write-up (alt text in images) #Splatoon3
Flow Aura State requires you to reach 100 points to activate. In this, I will be referring to these points as flow points for ease of reading. Here is a list of things that can give you points. - Painting 10p grants you 0.8 flow points (0.6 flow points in Ranked modes) - Kills grant 23 flow points, up until 75 points in which it will grant 15. - Getting another kill within 5 seconds of your last kill increases this to 43 (this changes to 35 when at 75 flow points or higher.). This can repeat (eg. getting 3 kills in a row will apply this on your 2nd and 3rd kill). - Killing someone with Flow Aura grants an extra 10 flow points. - Getting the first kill of the lobby grants an extra 10 flow points. - You or your team causing a Wipeout grants 10 flow points (stacks with kill). - Getting an assist grants 4 flow points. - If the assist is through a damaging method specifically, this increases to 14 flow points instead. - Dying causes you to lose 5 flow points. - If your death is by a stage hazard, this increases to 10 flow points lost. While you can reach 100 points without getting kills, Flow Aura State will not activate until you get a kill. Your flow points decrease by 0.2 every second. If you have gone 5 seconds without gaining any flow points, this increases to 3.3 flow points lost per second. Once you have Flow Aura State, it lasts for 30 seconds. Any further kill or assist adds 10 seconds to this timer, but it caps out at 30 seconds total. Flow Aura State grants 30 AP (aka 3 mains) of Intensify Action, Run Speed Up, Swim Speed Up, and Ink Resistance Up. This cannot go beyond the usual cap of 57 AP. Notably, some parameters differ in Tricolor Turf War. Below, I've bolded any values that have changed compared to normal. (I am not sure how to denote this in alt text, my apologies.) Attackers require 90 flow points to activate Flow Aura State. Kills grant 23 points, up until 65 points in which it will grant 15. Getting another kill within 5 seconds of your last kill increases this to 43 (this changes to 35 when at 65 flow points or higher.) Defenders require 110 flow points to activate Flow Aura State. Kills grant 23 points, up until 85 points in which it will grant 15. Getting another kill within 5 seconds of your last kill increases this to 43 (this changes to 35 when at 85 flow points or higher.) Another thing to note, there are parameters for many ranked objectives that are set to 0, essentially making them go unused. I will note them below, as they could be considered in a future patch. Painting a Splat Zone. Breaking the enemy Clam Basket Barrier. Depositing Clams into the enemy Basket. Gaining points with the Rainmaker. Breaking a checkpoint in Rainmaker. Gaining points on the Tower. Breaking a checkpoint on the Tower. Trying for the Ultra Signal in Tricolor Turf War. Obtaining the Ultra Signal in Tricolor Turf War.

I did some testing thanks to @flingking5.bsky.social, but the range of the HP bars appearing is shorter than I was expecting, this applies to specials as well so I honestly think that the ones that benefited the are things like storm/wave/chump/screen. (Screen also counts as a LoS blocker)

Guys, it is genuinely exhausting getting a new patch and always seeing people doompost about the game immediately after. If they are ending support/content, THEY WOULD SAY IT OUTRIGHT AND NOT BURY IT IN NOTES. Like why would they just end support immediately after all these changes and no fanfare.

So I finally was able to get like 99% of my setup running on Linux but unfortunately I don't think I can get Epic Pen to work on it and the alternatives are not it. So I guess that's another reason for me to get a steam machine.
