Victoria is in the grip of an unprecedented crime wave!

Except Victoria isn't the worst performing state on any single measure of crime.

Nothing. Not a cent. Zip. Nada. Big fat zero. There's about 19 million people with super and this effects about 65 thousand people with balances of more than $3 mill (and even then it wouldn't require you to do anything unless you have an SMSF.)

From the AFR's analysis, the Government's superannuation tax changes would result in someone who increased their super by $1,180,000, to a total sum of $3,180,000 would be paying an extra...$1,528 in tax.

The superannuation tax changes are a good idea and would make our tax system fairer. #auspol
Hilariously, the AFR is showing just how absurd is the scare campaign against the super tax changes.

They give an eg where someone's super goes from $2m to $3.18m in a year!

Yep a $1.18m increase.

How much extra tax?

$1,528!

OMG!! THAT'S OUTRAG... err... oh actually that's bugger all

I just keep thinking of the heartlessness of going to an election promising to sack 41,000 people just because they’ve chosen public service. The LNP talks of small business owners going out of business as a tragedy. How is sending thousands of people into unemployment not?

The USA is not a friendly nation. It is run by kleptocrats. Any political party not currently looking at reshaping our defence and foreign affairs policies is negligent in the extreme.

AUKUS must go. The AUSFTA is dead. We have leverage. Time to use it.

Some good news at last.
JUST IN: NASA says there's now a 3.1% chance an asteroid will hit Earth in 2032, up from 2.6% yesterday.

This is the highest risk assessment an asteroid has ever received, surpassing 2.7% in 2004
