I feel like I understand my cats' inner lives perfectly when I project human emotions onto their expressions and vocalizations, and absolutely do not understand them at all when I try to dissect their behaviour.

Seconding the Restoralax! One of mine unfortunately gets constipated now and then, and 1/8 teaspoon mixed in with Churu usually works fairly quickly
