I have never banked with Scotiabank and I never will.

No Canadian bank should be endorsing the imperialism of the American regime like this.

This view is also incredibly short-sighted for a banker.

So much of my undergrad library research amounted to “I bet there’ll be other similar books next to this one”
The one thing I really miss about the 'older world' is browsing library stacks, and card catalogues. However much I appreciate databases and retrieving what I want in moments, the serendipity of 'the book next to the one I wanted' and 'the article in the same issue' cannot be replicated. #Libraries

If you give people the means to gain the essentials they lack, there will be better societal outcomes. We've understood this principle explicitly for the last 100 years (last 3000 at least if you take an expansive view of economic history).

Can we please just get on with doing it?

“Practical and legal questions” should not be the focus here
Imma stop you there and say that the government “demanding clarity” on opposition plans is sad enough in itself, but the plans are one hundred percent stone-cold racism, and if you aren’t leading with that, you’re saying that’s OK, as long as it’s done carefully.

For electricity, the largest source of upwards pressure comes from increasing costs of government policies and schemes funded through bills.
